Shares Secured

The Credit Union offers loans that are secured by the shares in your savings account. Our shares secured loans are very much like a regular personal / signature loan except you receive a lower interest rate by securing the loan with funds that are in your savings account at Riegel. Although the funds are 'frozen' in your savings account, they do continue to earn interest and as the balance on your loan decreases, so does the amount of the funds frozen in your account.
